How to Change your Office365 Password

In this video Cameron talks us through how to change your Office365 password.


Hi I’m Cameron and welcome to this Microsoft Office365 quick start lesson on changing your Office 365 password.

Your Office365 password needs to be changed every 90 days. This is a built in security feature of Office365. Remember, when changing your password try not to use names or common words and where possible combine uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers and symbols.

To start:

  1. Open your web browser and navigate to;
  2. Login;
  3. Once you are logged in, click the settings cog from the top right of the screen and select Office365 Settings;
  4. From the left of the screen select password, enter your current password and your new password and click save. Office365 will confirm your password has been successfully saved.

Remember when you change your password through the Office365 portal you will also need to update your password in Outlook and on any mobile devices connected to Office365.
